Fair Trade Coffee

Look for this label on your coffee.
Hope Church sells Fair Trade Coffee after Sunday worship. Fair Trade Coffee is a social justice issue, it has aspects that extend beyond Hope Church and into that wider world to which we are enjoined by our faith to bear witness concerning the kingdom of God. The Fair Trade Coffee program has resulted in the creation of a symbol that adorns bags of coffee meeting certain economic standards; if you search diligently, you can find coffee bearing this symbol at your local supermarket or Starbucks.
In this way, selling Fair Trade Coffee after worship is a way of spreading both the word (about Fair Trade Coffee and the campaign to purchase it whenever you purchase coffee) and the Word (since it is our faith in God through Jesus Christ that grounds our concern with ensuring that coffee growers receive a fair price for their products).
