Local Missions

Most of our local efforts are in conjunction with Koinonia, our local Christian social service agency. Read the most recent news about our local missions work or read the local mission web page.

Donations for the Silent Auction

Dear Members and Friends of Hope Church:

On behalf of the Luau committee, I am requesting that you ask your favorite business to make a donation to the Silent Auction!  And it should not be hard or embarrassing!  Simply download this letter and go ask… for those who ask, shall receive!  If this isn’t your style, snail mail the letter to your favorite business and then call them to ask if they received it.  Or third option, donate a product or service that is uniquely yours.  Examples: tasteful jewelry, window washing, landscaping, portraits/photography, home cooked items, babysitting, life coaching.
Another option is to donate items for the theme baskets I am putting together:

•    Crafts (older and younger ages) – origami paper, markers, scissors, crayons, stickers, age appropriate craft books
•    Scrapbooking – kits, theme paper, glue dots, stickers, vellum
•    Gourmet  -  chocolates, cookies, wine
•    Wine and cheese – wine, cheeses, wineglasses, corkscrew
•    Gardening – bulbs, trowel, hat, bird feeder
•    Exercise – pedometer, hand weights, ball
•    Christmas – gift certificate, ornaments, candles
•    Spa – aromatherapy items, bubble bath, oils
•    Movie – dvds, popcorn, blanket
•    You name it, we’ll create a theme basket

CALL ME:  Anne Troy, 703 922 8408
EMAIL ME:  annetroy@cox.net

Except for the perishable foods items, please, please, please, P-U-LEASE, bring in donations no later than AUGUST 2, 2009.
I will store them in my home.  I am NOT a last minute type of person; I am a A+++ totally inflexible type person so for my spiritual and mental health, PLEASE help me out!
