Evangelism Ministry Team

The Evangelism ministry team reaches out to the community to share the news of Hope.  Members of the Evangelism team maintain our Hope website, Facebook fan page and weekly eNewsletter.  The Evangelism team has several community outreach events each year,  including the Pride Parade and Festival in June and Art on the Avenue in October.  They also try to provide an extravagant welcome to all of our visitors.

If you are interested in any of these activities, please contact Teri Battles. The Evangelism team is a great place for new members and visitors because they are able to provide input about what brought them to Hope, their first impressions, and how we can improve our extravagant welcome.

The Evangelism team meets the third Tuesday of each month at church.

LGBT Outreach at Hope

Hope UCC reaches out to the LGBT community during D.C. Pride each June by marching in the Pride Parade, having a booth at the Pride Festival, and hosting Interfaith Celebrations. Look for us at Pride this year, June 13-14, 2009! We hope soon to begin a chapter of PFLAG (People and Friends of Lesbian and Gay).
