Holly Jackson, Christian Education Minister
“How do we find where we fit in life?
How can we learn to listen to God’s call for us? How can we make our lives matter in a world where people are often disposable and love is reduced to a sappy sentiment on a Valentine’s Day card? How do we teach our children to be better human beings, to serve those around them, and to be grateful for all they have been given? And how in the world can we find a community to help us do this where we will be accepted and loved for who we are, baggage and all?
“To me, these are the questions and issues any useful and relevant Christian Education program must wrestle with. These are the questions that make us squirm in our chairs and cry out to God, the questions that move us forward in our spiritual journey. These are the questions we need to answer, or begin to answer, whether we are 3 or 93. How we get there may change with our age, but the search for meaning, for love, for service, is the same. And I am particularly blessed to be wrestling with these questions within Hope Church’s loving and deeply spiritual community. We think at Hope. We wrestle with God and with the Scriptures. But we also raise our hands in praise, sing out loud, and pray with passion. Come. Join us as we walk the faith together, in love.”
